Need a new challenge

Post by Toasted Coastie »

Want something as challenging and as rewadingas the 870c was. How tough to find a gold pan w/stealth in good shap, and parts for it?

not terrible, but really depends on how much you want to spend, and the condition you want it to be in.

I scour ebay all the time, and have seen some really nice stuff come and go. there is usually a decent gold pan running around for a reasonable price. I just saw an early cadillac that looked old, yet barely used, and the auction was still pretty low. That isn't saying much with snipes and so forth, but they are out there.

one thing you might be able to do is find a great 6 gear car, then pick up a stealth in a basket case, and end up with a nice car, and a beater. look for 10T's especially, for the trans, and black pan, you can usually find some decent example really cheaply.

Thanks man.

I was actually looking at another 870c, but got sniped on it. Meh, I'll try again. I kind of like the Yokes....

Right now I'm trying to fatten up the paypal account to go whole hog on something to do. That and get my daughter a rustler like her brother's....

Got a line on an RC-10 gold pan. Put an ad in the company want ads, and got an email from someone who's car has been sitting on the shelf "for many years". Can't wait to see pictures.....

So I got it, it looks good, and I pick it up Saturday morning. Relatively excited. After seeing Vintage AE's custom RC10, I'm pretty spooled up about it. Depending on how the pan looks close up will determine how I proceed, but there is a powder coating shop right down the street from me that I have worked with before, and their prices are great.
