My Yokomo Body Challenge
Now that the 4 Masami bodies are done, it's time to start a new challenge
Here is what I got on my desk to do in my spare time while actually at work lol.
In no particular order

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
Are they all original bodies? If so, lucky you! I need a body for my 870c I plan to run at the VONATS this year but just can't seem to push order on the TBG bodies on eBay

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
The first two are original, but the blue one is from TBG. The TBG is actually a practice body for the Kinwald paint. I'm desperately looking for any other photos for that yoke before painting it. The OEM shell is $125 and is supposed to painted for the 2015 Worlds at Yatabe. I'm not sure if I'm going to make it on time though. I've asked BK on facebook if he had any other pics, but no reply.

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
I guess I'll start with the top one first. I suppose I have a soft spot for that one since I had my own painted for me before I started painting myself. I did mine with a Masami flare though
I had to look at the black and white ad to figure out that the stripes did not continue over the motor hump on the left side. You can see in the middle photo. Here is mine, just to show. I should get some better pics of this car.

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
Tonight's progress. I'm liking the colour so far... all of the blues have to be custom mixed. I barely mixed enough blue to do all of the wing, under tray and body

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
Thanks Rod! I think you'll like this morning's progress too. The 50 shades of blue are done and I quite like the results of the blue striping.
Here's what I used. The bottle to the left is a mixture of leftover failed attempts, which I used to back each coloured stripe. The results

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
Looks like I have more time on my hands at work than I thought I would. Now that is said that, I'll be flat out lol. First one is done, but I'm really low on 1/16", 1/8" and 1/2" tape. The next time I get the day off I will drive to the nearest town to see if there is a place to get automotive masking tape. I think since I've dealt with so many shades of blue, I should do the BK yoke next.

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
Now that I look more closely at the BK body, there's no point doing it if I don't have the view of the other side. I've painted BK bodies before and they aren't symmetrical in design and there's no way to know that the yellow blobs look like on the left side.
Having said that, I don't remember seeing the left side of the Masami body either, but I think that one is symmetrical.

Re: My Yokomo Body Challenge
I know I'm posting a lot of consecutive posts, but if for referencing purposes.
I noticed I couldn't find any other angles on the Masami body either, so I messaged him on facebook too. Whom ever gets back to me first will be the one I complete next. I will get started on the Masami body next though.

Reference photos
I noticed that the shading in the rainbow flame on the window are all different one the 3 different bodies. So I guess, I can just do what I want
