Trying to identify Nikko car from memory
Trying to identify Nikko car from memory
I have been trying to figure out which nikko 4wd car I had "back in the day". I know it was black, had white wheels and had 4wd that was driven by shafts that ran parallel to the body on each side. I keep seeing the "hurricane" in my searches, but this just doesn't look like the one I had. Was there another nikko from the late 80's that fits this description?

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Nope.... the wheels were more dish-like / flat like the hurricane wheels. Maybe it actually was the hurricane....once you hit 30, the memory just really starts to fail I guesscivilguy wrote:Dictator?

2 things that don't seem right with the hurricane are the name.... and the way the sides pull in from the mid section and then get narrow abruptly at the front. Most likely it was the hurricane though if those were the only 2 4wds.

Thanks guys! It HAD to be the hurricane.... in no way was this thing a kit. I think I bought it at a toy store in a mall or possibly toys r us. I had a turbo panther, then this car, then finally a grasshopper which was my first "real" rc car.
I remember trying to remove the wheels to put other ones on, and I found out pretty soon that they were not removable
The clearest thing I remember about it was running the old purple & white radioshack rechargeable AA's in it and charging for 8 hours to get about 15 minutes of run time!
EDIT: I WAS WRONG!!! I just found it!!! It was the the "Mascot". The best part is that I'm not losing my mind

MAN, this is my first R/C car ever. I had it in red. I loved it and I remember I took the shaft out at one point to run it 2WD.
I am glad to see a photo of it.
