TRX-1 Bodies in the "Bay" Whats the difference?
I am looking for some bodies for my TRX-1 and TCP resto runners.
Now on E(vil)Bay I found these listed for the TRX-1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ORIGINAL-TRAXXAS-TRX1-TRX-1-BODY-AND-WING-rc10-rc-10-/150425639297?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item2306111981
http://cgi.ebay.com/TRAXXAS-TRX1-TRX-1-BODY-AND-WING-/150400815419?pt=Radio_Control_Vehicles&hash=item230496513b
What is the difference, I know some have expressed their frustration with Team Blue Groove bodies.
Just trying to get the Buggy Finished
Thank you

I have bought each of those from Blue Groove. Dissapointing to say the least. I know repro's are not the original but the quality was pretty sad. Bad Lexan, misc dimples, poorly defined lines. $60 bucks in the garbage.
On the other hand my Mr. Lexan 870C repro was probably better than the original

Re: TRX-1 Bodies in the "Bay" Whats the difference?
I think we are a little spoilt now days with access to so many rare old bodies now being repro'd across various nations.
Indeed the quality of Mr Lexan's molds are the very best out there and well worth the extra bucks in my opinion.
On the other hand guys like TBG are supplying tops for what otherwise might be bare chassis and we should all remember what things were like before these guys went to this much trouble for us all. While some people are happy to pay the extra for premium bodies there will be twice that number who just want a lid at a bargain price.
I have lexan shells from Mr Lexan, Team Blue Groove, Kamtec, Thomas (Aka-BUGLE), Antony (Melbourne) and Cobra Ken. Without a doubt Lex's shells are the very best. Team Blue Groove's are great for those on a budget but dont expect 'like' standards of the original mold as many details and lines are lost.
Either way these guys have helped the hobby grow exponentialy and for this I thank them all.

The configuration of the shell in the first link is what I am familiar with as a TRX1 body. I don't recognize the second one. Is it for a longer chassis or is it just narrower to keep closer to the chassis profile?

Re: TRX-1 Bodies in the "Bay" Whats the difference?
I have a Tamiya desert gator body sitting on my TCP.
The chassis sticks out a litttle bit in the front but the fit is so nice aside from that area... I'm probably going to trim the chassis a bit. It is much sleeker, sits lower and weighs a lot less than the fuggly original.

Check out this thread:

Its markt311's trx1 with BrandonG's repro body. He might still have some left. I think it works good on the chassis for fitment and mark's pix show the details. Hope this helps.

Re: TRX-1 Bodies in the "Bay" Whats the difference?
Thanks everyone for the help. I will follow up with Brandon about his Pro-X Body. I know that the TRX cars not everyones faves, as such it is still nice to see all the help.
Re: TRX-1 Bodies in the "Bay" Whats the difference?
The Pro-X body fit pretty well, it was my easiest option since I race with Brandon a few times a month
. I think a Losi XX body would be a good fit, but I haven't tried it personally.

Well since this "body issue", I have searched and seem to have found what that second body may be. It looks to be a clone of the Protoform Javelin from around 93'.
I have attached a clip from RCCA.
I hope it clears the mystery.
