Re: Yokomo Off-Road Car Timeline
yes, but this is not really the tread to discuss particular cars; it's meant to be a reference on the history of yokomo's production cars. You better start your own thread.

Ha ha, wow, when a friend told me about this forum to help with my YZ10 project I was impressed but this post was a huge help. It's tough to sort out exactly what model you're trying to restore. Thanks for the great info!!

You were totally right Tim, this place is amazing!! I've got Yokomo stuff spread out all over my living room and magnesium dust in every orifice!

(in reality that's coming from a friend I've raced with since 1995... we keep handing each other stuff based on our various interests of the moments, typically he'd get my competition electronics from the year before, and he gives me his vintage rides once in a while, he knows I restore them lovingly, in the end we're both happy).
thanks for the info,
Anyone feel free to use this pic as a timeline ref if appropriate

Re: Yokomo Off-Road Car Timeline
I was talking to a friend the other day about Vintage Yokomo stuff and the topic of the Yokomo C4 came up. What is the deal with that car? Did it exist? Was it a pre-YZ10 or a Japanese version? Does anyone know details about this car?

Re: Yokomo Off-Road Car Timeline
I think it's the same as 870C, only called a C4 in some other parts of the world. Like Casio's ProTrek called Pathfinder in some countries.xxxmain wrote:I was talking to a friend the other day about Vintage Yokomo stuff and the topic of the Yokomo C4 came up. Re: Yokomo Off-Road Car Timeline
I was just looking at the scans of some '87 and '88 RCCA magazines, and there were several pics and some info on the Yokomo C-4. What exactly was that car and where did it fit in the timeline?
