FRP chassis paint stripping
I have an old Green FRP chassis , it was painted by the previous owner. Is there any safe way to strip off the paint without weakening the strength of the FRP & creating scratches ?
Tks for your words of wisdom.

Re: FRP chassis paint stripping
it is a clener like simple green, you it in the auto section in any department store it comes in a antifreeze jug. it use to be called Castrol super clean, now its just called Purple Power. it will strip off paint chrome any fiberglass or plastic and wont hurt it. it removes super glue off your wheels and tires with out melting your wheels. just no plastic chrome. it will take off the chrome.

My racing buddy that owns a laundry store loves Purple power, He calls it " high alkaline soap". What that means I have no idea, just don't leave it on your skin too long... it burns.bearrickster wrote:it is a clener like simple green, you it in the auto section in any department store it comes in a antifreeze jug. it use to be called Castrol super clean, now its just called Purple Power. it will strip off paint chrome any fiberglass or plastic and wont hurt it. it removes super glue off your wheels and tires with out melting your wheels. just no plastic chrome. it will take off the chrome.
