Welcome to the club of insane folks. Hahahahaha. Really, there are some fine gents on this forum. I'm looking at a brushless system too. I have read some good reviews on systems from Hobbypartz. The Leopard 1/10 Scale Brushless System Combo w/ Brushless Motor/ESC/ Program Card 13.0R 3000KV is the one I'm eying at the moment. The other is the EZRUN Brushless System Combo B1 w/ 35A ESC and 13T@3000KV 3650M Brushless Motor.
hey guys,i plan on restoring a gold tub soon and putting the brushless motor from my Firestorm in.the motor and esc are mad by castle creations for hpi.will the rc10 trans hold up to the power?its not the most powerful combo, but i would just like to...

And the 6 gear? ;)
I just got a mild brushless setup and was going to try it in my 6 gear. It has the modern black idlers and full bearings, so I was thinking it would be fine if I dialed out some of the punch.
Any thoughts on that?
Hi guys I'm looking for some input on a good brushless setup I'm new to the racing scene and I'm not to sure if I'll like or have to much time to race but I'm looking to upgrade my stock t4.2 for those occasions when I am able to race so I don't...

As I've been racing nothing but nitro cars for the past few years, I didn't pay alot of attention to the brushless motors and lipo batteries that everybody is running now. I'm planning on getting a setup to run some vintage races and want to stay...

LRP TC Comp in my Durango with a X12 motor, small esc that runs great, the Durango isn't that bad either.
I also got one of the LRP Stock Spec with timing advance with a X12 motor. Lets just say the guys in Superstock don't like that combo too much...
What would you recommend for a brushless esc/motor combo for a runner. I am looking for a good balance of power with run time. It will probably get moved around between my T3 and possibly a Lazer ZX-5 that I have my eye on :).
What brands and...

I think you will find these guys here make the majority of brushless motors, which other companies relabel.
Fiegao have been around a long time in the brushless RC plane world and make good products.
I'm wanting to revive my old RC10T with a brushless setup. I don't want to put anything ridiculous in the truck as I haven't driven RC in a long time and I don't trust myself with a really powerful setup. It needs to be controllable, I don't need...

A little update for me.
I am running a HobbyKing 3100KV and 60A ESC in a basher and can't believe how well it is performing.
It was more of an experiment than anything else.
I paid $31 and change, shipped on eBay for the combo.
If you look at the...
For Xmas I bought my 11 y/o son his first real RC car kit to build (Kyosho Ultima re-release, and bought 2 of everything so I can play along). I built mine already so I can answer his questions as he goes along.
For the initial setup I bought a 20T...

SkyRC makes the Leopard Toro motor & ESC combos in many versions. I'm running the 12T Leopard Toro combo, which is affordable and plenty of power for a RWD car, even with this combo I had to dial the Punch back quite a bit.
