Re: scorpion?
It's mostly scorpion with a super champ cage thrown in as a body mount. rear wheels are rough rider.
The tranny looks normal but it's missing the gear cover.

Re: scorpion?
This was my lesson on not over reacting to a distance pic of 5 vintage cars on Craigslist. I thought this was a Sand Scorcher. It had the body. From a distance it looked like one. There was also Tamiya Wild One, a Grasshopper, a Hornet, a Hilux Monster Racer. Guy wanted $60 but thinking I hit a gold mine I told him i'd give him a little more to hold it. So I hop in my truck and drive to BFE. which is about an hour one way. So far out theres no cell phone service. I get there and they're all stacked in a box. He then says he found another car which is a Trinity on road, missing rear shock and axle but its looks NIB otherwise. I was in a hurry to get back so I grab it and go. They looked better in the picture. They're all only good for parts. I was going to build the Hilux M but the chassis is cracked. He rob shocks off one and put on another. Bloody nightmare.

More TOMAHAWK than anything.
You could remove much of the extra crap and possibly build a car much like one of these Tomahawk's.

Re: scorpion?
I don’t know what to say about your Scorpion score, probably only god for parts or a custom built!

Which does not need to be a bad thingHcp22 wrote:I don’t know what to say about your Scorpion score, probably only god for parts or a custom built!
This started out with nothing more than a set of rails and 'near' complete suspension.
I just took a bunch of parts from other cars, modded some and made some myself to create something personal.

Re: scorpion?
The sad face is if you wane restoring it to box art! Personally I think it’s more fun to do your own design as I’m doing with my “Blueprint”.Mr. ED wrote:Which does not need to be a bad thingHcp22 wrote:I don’t know what to say about your Scorpion score, probably only god for parts or a custom built!

Re: scorpion?
got to agree on that point: wild one is very popular and on ebay even a parts car would fetch 60$ on its own easily I guess

Re: scorpion?
The Hilux Monster Racer was a rebodied King Cab.

The only other differences besides the body was the white rims were changed to red, and the front spike tires were changed to ribs.
