Re: Cougar 2
Randy the purple chassis denotes 'WORKS'. The Cougar2 works has a slightly different transmission also with the purple alloy side plates and lexan gear cover. Along with these it sounds like you have the alloy roller driveshafts and should have carbon fibre shock towers, slipper, 23mm alloy diff centre, ball raced steering levers, 'works' spec rear suspension arms with light weight hubs and bearings and the dark green coated 'Pro' shocks. The Cougar2 'works' was the last refinement of the alloy pan Schumacher cars and possibly their greatest success (in my opinion).
The Cougar 2 works is definately my all time favorite 2WD buggy!
.....and definately not afraid to use it-

These cougars are great cars.
I just bought one to restore and make into a runner.

OMG!. I was just looking at that car, and realized it has my steering system on it!. BITD I used to produce a white delrin belcrank type steering system for these cars. I only sold maybe 50 of the units, and always regretted not keeping one. I really think this is fate!. BTW, a HEX on anyone else who bids on this ITEM!!!
