Effeminate truck horn
The first car/truck I ever purchased is my 1997 Toyota Tacoma. I bought it new. It has been a workhorse but the one thing that has bothered me is the wimpy horn. Does anyone have suggestions for something that sounds more aggressive that I can pick up at Pep Boys or something? No, I don't want the douchebag freight train horn...LOL!

I can't recall the part number right now but at Pep-Boys they have a horn kit that I used on my 1987 Bronco. It has a very aggressive sound without being annoying. I'll look for the part number for you in a few minutes as I have to go out to my shed anyhow

AutoZone has a better deal. Here's a couple options:

Re: Effeminate truck horn
You're west coast though, so you need one that plays the Beverly Hillbillies theme.
I had an air horn in my 1984 Escort in the early 90s. It did get people to move on the streets of Boston though.
On a serious note any low tone OEM replacement horn (like the 2nd one Daddeo listed) would butch it up for you. Good luck!
Edit: a couple people on a Tacoma forum were happy with Hella Supertone horns. You may want to research those too... they seem to be 300 & 500 Hz so they have some high end. I still prefer the single low tone horns.

The preceding contained opinions, beliefs and thoughts that all may not agree with. No offense was intended at any point. Carry on.

Control your road rage and you won't need a horn...
