That is pretty sweet, mister.
I ran one of these RPM kits long ago and want one bad.
...Or I thought I did until I finally found an auction for a new one a few years ago
Crazy money.

How are you going to round out the package?

i don't really have a game plan for this, other than making it as much rpm as possible. and i know it won't be finished until i find a steering enhancement kit. i'm planning on using the threaded shocks from the t4, but of course, towers out of them. who'da thought.

this thing just kinda sits on the back burner. until i find the rest of the rpm stuff i need, i'm in no real hurry to finish it.

I picked up one of these RPM chassis kits. Paid too much, which I planned for
I have some questions:

1) Do you have a part number for the rear shock tower in the newest pics?
2) Do you have a part number for the front shock tower (without the nose tube holes)?
3) Did the front bulkhead shown in the picks come with the kit? Do you have a part number?
4) What size shock bodies and shafts work best (were intended for) this kit?

I test fitted 1.02 bodies/shafts on the front and that seemed really close. Can tune with this spacers. 1.02 on the rear seemed pretty close too! 1.32 was crazy long. The manual says something about using 1.32 bodies with 1.02 shafts on the rear. That would seem too long as well...

Just looking to fire up some RPM chit chat 8)
Bought my first RC10 in 1989

Getting back to the shock question...
Does anyone know the shock body and shock shaft combo that was intended to be run on this kit?
Like...
front: 1.02 bodies and 1.02 shafts
rear: 1.32 bodies and 1.02 shafts

?
Thanks!

That seems right, but I bet you could run .71 shafts in 1.02 bodies on the front on today's smooth tracks... and none of that silly yellow RPM spring action on the front.

well acording to the instructions that came in my kit, you'd use 1.32 shock bodies, 1.02 shafts, and maybe a spacer on the rear. on the front, you'd use 1.02 shock bodies and shafts. also, if your using standard ae front truck springs, you have to cut 3 complete coils off. if you use the rpm worlds springs, you don't have to worry about that. it doesn't say anything about spacing the front shocks, but i'm sure you have too.

FWIW, the stock configuration for the rear of an AE Worlds Car is 1.32 bodies and 1.02 shafts.
I think you have it right.

I posted a scan of the manual, but it wasn't super clear. You would think that a conversion kit would include, first, a section about what you need to complete the kit. Instead, they sort of embed the info within the directions.

Thanks for the help!
