- RPM black steering link
- White Stealth tranny
- Rear HPI white rims with TQ-20

Scrub, scrub... scrub... and replacing the unsalvageable partsshodog wrote:wow, great job, how did you get the plastic so clean?
I think being patient is probably the most important thing, dream about it one night or two, slowly collect the parts you need and then build tha thing when every part is at hand!aconsola wrote:X2
that looks great.
Fantastic transformation, What's your magic juice recipe?

Oh, and I must give some credit to Hoopty for the "plastic" look (meaning the VLT shocks but hey, mine are Losi's ) to Geof for the steering screws, thanks again mate, and to Shodog for the spare rear RPM rear mounts that came with the rear end baggy, thnik that's all

indeed, but the shocks, screws, Arizona desert dirt, tranny, front and rear bulkhead, front shock tower, rear arm mounts, turnbuckles and tranny (find the intruder word)mrlexan wrote:No way, that is the same car?

Oh and a lambic for you, that's actually one of the very few beers that cannot be brewed outside of a particular place here in Brussels because of a very particular kind of bacteria floating in the air, but that's an other thread I guinessRichieRich wrote:Wow, what a difference! Did you use oxyclean?
"BILLY MAYS HERE WITH OXYCLEAN!!!"
Why does that guy always have to yell? Well, you probably don't see him on TV in Belgium. Can have another Lambic, please?

very simple: first cleaning with a toothbrush and dishwash soap, then scrubbing with some "ALL CLEANER" spray, removing the grease with WD40 and cleaning the hinge pin holes with a small long round brush and WD40, that's all The difference between new and used parts is still noticeable (compare the rear arm mounts and the rear arms or the rear bulkhead and the rear tranny brace) but I'm happy with the final resultmrlexan wrote:Ok then, you are going to have to give more details than, just scrub after scrub after scrub..... what cleaner(s) did you use?

I don't think so, RCPS tie-rods look more like the modern Lunsford ones. But I may be wrong...Dr. Robotnik wrote:Excellent restoration mate, fantastic!
BTW though are they not RCPS turnbuckles/tierods?
