This is my oldest motor I have at home. I bought this when we were on a travel through the UK and wanted attend a 1/12th race. Don´t remember exactly but must have been around 1980 I think. Maybe someone knows eaxactly when this motor was released.
It´s an old Reedy stock motor based on the Igarashi can. Comparing with any other motor the can is completely closed and you had to use 4/40 motor screws not the usual M3 screws.
What I have completely forgotten is what winding these stock motors had. Someone knows this?

I just swapped my Reedy M3 17.5 in my B6 for the Reedy S Plus 17.5. I have been delaying this because I was thinking a 17.5 is a 17.5, mine is still in great condition and I'm not going to spend a hundred bucks just to have the latest thing. Well, I...

Looks good, just bought a new in packet X and A plus a J and D in great condition. The only one I really want now is the M, the one I used against Masami.
I am new to this forum but started my RC life with RC12E.
I am interested to know what is the welding technolgy that Reedy used in his can type Igarishi Reedy modified.
On the armature, some motors on the later days used ultrasonic welding, (maybe...

Interesting to know this kind of stuff. I always wondered about that solder because a good friend of mine when I was younger talked about it being used. Of course I can't hardly remember stuff from a few months ago these days  so all of what...
