Broken Mamba switch

So the switch Wire from the pc board on my mamba just parted off , so my Q is can i bridge the two pins coming of the pc board . and switch it just after the battery s ? this would isolate the whole system !

That should work.

Personally, none of my ESC's (mostly LRP BL) have switches any more. I've removed the switches and have either jumped the the pins like you've mentioned, or simply cut the switch wires very short, and soldered them together. When I want to turn it on or off, I have to plug in or out the battery leads.

Twice I've had a switch fail on me in the middle of a race, causing the car to shut off. It's also good to unplug your battery, even when the car is turned off. Because they are 'soft switches', even a switched off car that is plugged in will draw a slight amount of power. You can wreck a lipo if it's plugged in for a long period of time

i have a novak BL motor with the same problem ,only this time its the sensor wire i want to just cut it off but dont know how it will effect the motor and esc?
any thoughts on this ?

Sensor wires can be neglected, you will only notice if the sensor wires are disconnected is the jirkiness during slow acceleration. but basically when the sensor wire is cut or loosen during a race, the ESC will just think that the Motor is sensor less thus operation will still be the same. i believe some ESC has the ability to accept Sensored and sensorless setup, then if your ESC has this feature then its ok.

You can try an experiment, when you have your ESC sensor wire plug in, then hit the throttle, then while the motor is spinning, disconnect the Sensor wire, you will notice no difference, it is only when a slow acceleration is done that the motor will give some hesitation(jirkiness) when it is in sensorless mode.

i have tested it and thats what i found. no harm in trying.

Put your Mamba into Smartsense mode, it will work without a sensor. Novak has a pretty nice trade-in program though, You can trade in that old motor for a new Ballistic. The good thing about a ballistic is the sensor wire is not permanently attached to the motor.

yet again you guys SORT ME OUT thats great news i got it in here and relised my mistake when i saw the wire on the novak .i like the new sensor tec only plug in when you need it .Plus it gives me another wire to loose
