Really I just thought the car looked really cool, and like others said. There are only so many cars that you can do that someone else hasn't done already.

Plus I kinda dig Japanese culture-

I think this guy was one of the Team Yokomo 2nd-line drivers during that period......... same as Hara, Adachi & Satoshi.......all of them were under Team Yokomo.......
I think Hirai was an Atlas driver back then. Not a Yokomo driver. In '93 Hara was still a Kyosho Team driver. At that particular race Hara ended up 4th in 2wd mod, running the infamous Kyosho Pro-X. Hara already loved pink, all the white parts on his Pro-X were died in dayglo pink... A month later, the Yatabe Arena hosted the '93 Japan Reedy Race. Masami won, Hara 3rd, ahead of freshly crowned WC Kinwald in 4th and Pavidis in 5th.

Coming back your project, that sounds really cool. The Sanwa esc and the tires will be hard to find though.

You seem to been keeping it fresh Reggie. So years to begin this build, is it going to be years for more receivers from ya too? Don't make me send you more toonies and loonies

I am good on the tires actually !! I got very lucky with two different members having a set of front and tears for me. Is that a Sanwa esc? I was thinking it was a KO.

It's cool if you got the yokomo tires (F350 front, R35 rear I think).
Yes, the esc is a Sanwa Super Vortex 212HF. It was quite a popular esc among pro drivers in Japan. Hara and Adachi ran it as well.
The KO CX7 or 11 of that era had green case.

I think Hirai used standard rear wheels, not yokomo wheels w/4 screws hex like Hirosaka. Only Masami and the yokomo gang used that set up

So I understand that this white bumper are actually factory ones that came on the RC10 AX (the Japanese version). I always thought they custom made them, do you have one of these original bumpers Reg? Anyone has some good photos of one?

Maezumi car looks cool, thanks R-NO.
