ultrasonic cleaner?

Post by V12 »

I have some cars now what need some cleaning and restoring. There are several ways of cleaning and stuff to use but did anyone try a ultrasonic cleaner for this?

I got one for cleaning screws, etc as I thought it would save time. It didnt for those parts, I just use meths and let 'em sit in a tub. They are supposed to be good for cleaning but I haven't had the time to experiment with cleaning solution. Will be using it to clean bearings soon though.

I haven't but they're supposed to work great for speeding up the process of removing anodizing.

I've used one, but only for cleaning out bearings. Worked well.

Here is a discussion from a while back if any of the info helps. They may be better now even than then. Don't know much about them.
