More expense indeed  luckily my mate helps out with stuff like our new "team" shells and the 2.4GHz radios. Did you know I'm selling a slipper clutch and Bosscat Pro-diff? I need to fund all this other stuff! I just hope I don't break my car because they're my only spares

For the regular Procat you need these bearings...
8x16x5 - 12 pieces for the axles and rear gearbox
8x12x3.5 flanged - 2 pieces for the front diff

For my one I need the following...
8x16x5 - 8 pieces for the front axles and rear gearbox
8x12x3.5 flanged - 8 pieces for the front diff, rear Works axles and rear pro-diff

Don't forget you need 2 thrust bearings (and another for the slipper if you're using one) Do you think these ones are OK?

I've found I need to buy two to make up one bearing because only one of the plates fits over the 1/8" diameter axles :?

Cripes, don't talk to me about thrust bearings! They need replacing on mine - the plastic cages are shot and I haven't found replacements yet. I saw your post somewhere else about buying pairs of the blade-400 ones but that's an expensive solution. Have you actually run those for a while now? How do they hold up?

Do you find the Bosscat pro-diff better than the MMS one? I have MMS in mine at the moment, but was contemplating putting the overdrive pulley back on the front since I don't have one-way rollers. I guess I should actually get it running first before tweaking it but it's so hard when you remember having a car setup perfectly before!

These guys also do the thrust bearing...

I've got a mixture in mine but none of the heli ones. The Bosscat diff is the best for the old Cats in my opinion - the alloy carriers make it strong and smooth plus it's sealed. The one piece MMS nylon pulley was also very strong so that should be fine also. The problem with the overdrive pulley is that there are no fences to stop the belt wandering to the side. I don't have one way rollers either - but I have added weight up front. Yep, it's difficult getting these old car set up right with no one to compare to at the track :(

I think I must be the only person who never suffered from the belt problem on non-fenced front pulleys! :)
Conversely, I did suffer from a shredded belt once after a particularly hard collision (before I did the clamp mod!) caused it to slip onto the 'fences' of the MMS front pulley which, as you know, aren't fences at all!

Just spotted that I left off the cap heads that hold the shocks on - no biggie, since they're already hex I suppose!

On the topic of bearings for CATs, anyone know anywhere which sells the one-way clutch bearings for the front drive shafts?

Hi Mike

A411 is a 40mm pivot pin used on the lower front wishbones of the XLS.

U1246 is a 34mm pivot pin used on the rear hubs of Procat, Bosscat, Topcat etc

Diameter are the same but length is too short
