Novak GTB reverse

Post by Mikeyboy »

I've been having some trouble getting my SC10 to go into reverse. Its got a Novak GTB speed control and I have a JR XR2 transmitter. The truck accelerates and brakes fine but going into reverse is a little tricky. It will not go into reverse when I hit full brakes. I have to move the trigger halfway between neutral and brake to get reverse. Is this just an adjustment in the radio? I know that this transmitter is an entry level model, but I don't know what all of the adjustments do.

Not familiar with your tx but if it has a dial for servo throw like most do just dial it back a little and see if that helps. One of my old futabas I still use has a dial and it is getting finicky in the same manner with a vxl esc in my daughters sc10. Was getting frustrated with it and remembered how old electronic dials stop working after awhile and had her run it forward and reverse on the dial about 10 times and it started working correctly again. Sometimes its something simple like that and other times I just have to reprogram and go from there. Good luck and hope this helps.

The TX is all digital. I just don't know what setting might adjust this problem.

Are you making sure that you are in "neutral" first? What I mean by that is that on those esc's you reverse to hit full brakes, then you hit reverse again to get it into "neutral", then you hit reverse again to get it to back up.
