RC12i on ebay
RC12i on ebay
First off, i'm new to the forum, and would like to say hi. Now that we have that out of the way, what do you guys think about this one? Do you see anything wrong about it? I don't know if i should buy it or not, and there's not much time left in the auction.

Re: RC12i on ebay
Ok, sorry about that. It won't happen again. Please delete this thread, and i will not get any cars untill i can talk to you guys about the ones i'm looking at. I don't know anything about these old pan cars, so i don't know what's important, and what to look for. I didn't want to miss out on it if it was a good car, but maybe i can find something that's a better deal down the road. i just really enjoy restoring the old cars, and this forum may be of some help with that in the future.
Re: RC12i on ebay
Hey scr8p, did you happen to see the car though? can you give me any opinions please?

Re: RC12i on ebay
if you insert some of the pics from the auction in your post, along with the link, it's not as big of a deal. the problem is, 90 days after the end of auction, the link becomes dead. down the road if someone looks at this post, there's no pics to go with the discussion. that's the biggest reason for not wanting ebay links all over the forum.
i'm not really up on the going rate of the old 12th scale stuff. i have a rc12e, but i don't really collect/restore them, so i don't pay much attention to them. in my opinion, it's not a bad price. but i have seen more "complete" examples (radio gear, battery, motor) that would be a better buy.

Re: RC12i on ebay
Cool. Thanks for the info. Do you know what the difference is between the RC12i, and the RC12e? I like the 1/10 scale pan cars more, cause that was the first car my dad got me when I was a 6 year old. The thing ripped too! It had a gold Twister motor, and was a 7 cell. Plus with a 1/10 scale, you have all the cool bodies that can be used. I can just do a search about the difference between the two cars. Thanks for your time, and for being understanding, and not biting my head off.
Re: RC12i on ebay
I've never raced them so I'm not sure of the differences either. However, here's a link to Associated's online manuals for the RC12L, look further down the list and there is 12e and 12i and most everything else: http://www.teamassociated.com/manuals/RC12L/. Looking at the pictures it looks like one has a bell crank steering and the other is direct. I'm sure someone here be able to help more.
