RCE Short Course Truck Shootout, Yuma AZ 1-28-2012

Hey racers!
Here's some details on our race here in Yuma, AZ on Saturday, the 28th, 2012:

Winter Short Course Truck Shootout:
•"TRACKMATE" Transponder must be installed for events. We will have rental transponders available; they will be picked up prior to your race and returned immediately after your race.

Sportsman 2WD Class: (10 lap race)
• This class will be a mix of 2wd RTR trucks: Traxxas Slash, Assc. SC10, HPI Blitz,
and Losi XXX. All parts that come stock on those trucks may be interchanged
between those vehicles. Aluminum is allowed, if it’s an exact replacement. No
geometry changes. Any radio & receiver can be used, and any 6-cell battery or 2-
cell li-po. True SC bodies only. Stock servos and speed controllers. Only tires that
are issued stock can be used. You may swap any of the parts like tires, speed
controllers, and motors between the 4 vehicles.

2wd Open Short Course Class:
• Same rules as 4x4 except vehicle must be 2wd.

4x4 Short Course Class: (10 lap race)
• Any 1/10th scale, 4WD production truck
• Any 540 or 550 motor and ESC combination
• Any parts, SC tires (no 1/8th scale), or True SC body
• Must be able to keep at least a 120 second lap time
• 7.4v 2s li-po, 7.2v 6 cell or 8.4v nimh only (any mah)


RACE FORMAT
1. Racers from last event will be required to turn marshal current event.
2. 2 qualifier heats, best time will be used for starting position in both mains.
3. 3 mains will be run. All mains will be combined for a total time to determine finishing order.
4. After first round of races, 20 minute break. There will be 5 minutes between heats.
5. Practice 8am -11am
6. Qualifying starts 1pm

* Gear Covers & bodies must be ran at all times
* A Replacement Turn Marshall must be available to sub for you in case of running multiple classes.
* Paddle Tires are not allowed for Track use. Mini-pins work best.
