You sound suspicious, don’t you think his legit?Lowgear wrote:I've been watching that sellers auctions, and they've been selling Thorp parts for weeks. I wonder what the deal is with that.

Re: Raider rebuild
That I don't know, don't care and I don't think it will last forever. I am putting them in my Turbo Rocky so we'll see how they work.

So you're the guy that keeps buying those before I get the chance too.KyoshoScorpionKid wrote:I purchased one from him few weeks ago, everything was fine.

Re: Raider rebuild
Sorry, I have a lot of Raiders too but my focus right now is my Turbo Rockys. I have enough Raiders to have several drivers. I have a Kyosho Turbo Raider and a Raider Pro RTR new in the box too.

Re: Raider rebuild
I could do with one as my diff is looking a bit ropey after its encounter with that screw though £28 is a bit steep for me at the moment sadly
Re: Raider rebuild
I just purchased one of those diffs so I'm good for now. I have 2 raider ARR's at the moment, but I'm gathering all new parts to build a new one that the Thorp diff will go in. I'd like to get the diffs for my current Raiders but they can wait.
Re: Raider rebuild
The diffs are a little expensive, but since the Raider doesn't have a slipper clutch, these diffs are good for getting the extra traction. Especially if using old hard spike tires.

Re: Raider rebuild
The raider and the rocky have a type of slipper if you can call it that. Basically the main gear inside does slip, its crude and I've seen what happens to them when too much power is applied so you want to get ride of them if you can.

Re: Raider rebuild
Yeah I've had a few of this die. They need a real slipper clutch. That would be a huge improvement.
Re: Raider rebuild
Well I've just paid for my new motor, sticking with the vintage Kyosho and putting in a Le Man 240ST.
It's not gonna set any records but it'll be more than suitable for what I'll be needing. Just awaiting a reply for the raider pro wheels so I can get them paid for and need to order an esc but that'll have to wait a couple of weeks till payday I reckon though I'm picking up a Traxxas TRX-3 (I think) of a friend for £10 tomorrow so will probably use the one from that for the time being!
