I'm finding out the same thing around me. The new spring rates are different than the old spring rates in different colors...if that makes sense in my sentence. It might be a thundertiger thing or something like that. Maybe they had different spring...
Anybody have any info on this motor I just won off of eBay? It appears to be brand new never used as the mounting holes still have paint in them and the shaft hasn't been ground for a pinion yet.

No offence here but I would worry about getting the chassis done first then worry about painting the body.
As far as achieving the right color it is done in layers do a few light coats and back with a light or white color. The lighter the backing...

It should be fine. 11 quad sonic is not that hot a motor. six cells BITD, a 10 turn was very common for 2wd. -Jeff
