build up of tomahawk

Post by sk7 »

heres a few shots of my restoration of this kyosho tomahawk buggy i just picked up, its was in pretty bad condition someone used white and black house paint on the entire thing, i stripped it and then wet sanded and buff it , new hardware, and i have been lucky enough to come across some new parts for the build. The first picture is how i got it.enjoy

Sweeeet! The rims look OEM. Did you paint them? I have yet to find a quality chrome finish.

That thing is beautiful! I love the old Circuit 1000 buggies! I can't get enough of them! God score on the rims! The rears are very hard to come by! Keep us posted on the build!

That is SICK! The pot metal parts polished up real nice. You must have refinanced your house to pay for those rims LOL.

Awesome build mate and great restore. BTW I'd ditch those purple nuts if I were you they just don't seem to look right. Otherwise spot on.
