Re: top shaft
HELLO all ok like allways I seem to come back after being gone. OK To answer the question will a top shaft out of a B 4 or T 4 will it go into a an old 10 t or rc 10 gold plan. Will it work. Answer is yes I have done a few times myself . change over price when I use to do it ran about 40 to 50.00 depending on what parts I use. OK To do this compleatly pull out everything on the top shaft of the stelth everything. THEN install everything out of the T 4 or B 4 . THE top shaft teeth is the same count. EVen the bearing out of the old tranny will work. THIS way you can use the newer spure gear . I have done it with my my GOLD pan and 10 T . Even use to use brushless motors. It is a nice improvment and if you strip a spure it is nice to walk into a hobby shop and just pick one up . YES that even happen to me at a race up in olimpia Wash . So like I say it will work just replace everything TOP shaft only. gear. slipper and everything elest. I hope i have been able to help. If you have any other questions I will try my best to help. I use to play with Vintage all of the time and have done different swaps. Some of you may remember. THE last swap AI did was when I took Assocated GT 10 and turn it into a mid engine RC 10 T. YES I stil have it and still runs.
DON THE Portland Rustbucket . Long live the Vintage !!

Re: top shaft
OK I was thinking he had the stleth. BUT the 6 gear is still a good tranny I have one buggie still with it. Just have to keep an eye on those idler gears. That is the only weak spot on those . BUT I have ran mind hard
at times during racing and still holes up good. What is neat about the 6 gear is what it sounds like when some one is runing one. I like both trannys.
YUP If he goes to the stelth he will have to drill out the holes unless he all ready have them in his chassic . Some did come with them but very few as I remember.
