XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
I scored a XXT off a local online auction site for $100,stripped it and my shelfer XXT and made one truck out of the best bits-the other truck I built turned out great, too.
Totally stoked with the body that came with it,all original,no cracks,95% box art correct and great original decals.
Just need to buy some pink paint and paint up some fresh wheel discs.
Added a Trinity rear bulkhead brace, pivot block and front brace,a polished motor plate, installed a centered motorplate kit and a Kinwald motor.
Bought a NIP graphite chassis and built it up-here's what I wound up with...
The truck came with blue shocks that I'd never seen before,too-can anyone shine a light on these?

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
Great looking XXT - classic mix of aftermaket parts
As you say the shell looks really good - I like the box art variation with the pink paint!
The blue shocks you mention - are these the 'gunmetal' shocks as fitted onto the truck in the pics? If so I think they are just from an early XXT - they seemed to have a lighter coloured annodising for some reason? Losi have never been that consistant (as the Losi part variations thread is testiment to) My XX buggy & XXT has black shocks - but the early version XXX that I have (non-threaded shocks) has the dark browny-bronze coloured shocks like the threaded versions fitted to my CR2. That said, I have seen Losi shock bodies for sale that were blue annodised!

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
That is a nice truck!! Good haul on the new parts too!
Dan is right, the early XX shocks were light blue in colour, the 'hard body' ones were black, eventually they turned green for the XXX series. The true blue ones (link) are from the Spec class XXX series, which never took off.
Wheels discs are still available, this will neaten it up nicely!!!
Nice to see some more nice Losi's appearing on the site.

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
Thanks guys!
I dig the pink,too.
I have some NIP wheel discs in my parts bin, just a matter of buying some pink paint.
Hmmm...Interesting about the shocks.
They are a gunmetal blue colour.
All up,on my XXT CR,XX CR Kinwald,XX-4 & JRX Pro SE,I have black shocks, the blue/gunmetal ones above and some light bronzish ones, which I put on my Kinwald-check 'em out.
What's the deal with these suckers?

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
Love the Kinwald buggy.... the bronze coloured (or as Jamin describes as 'green') shocks on there, are from an early series XXX - like those on my old racer;

Funny how the JRXProSe was the first Losi buggy to wear the black Hard Body shocks.... yet for some reason on the initial release of the XX it came with the lighter coloured shocks - which presumably weren't hard anodised? - or was it the 'sport' XX models that got these lighter shocks??

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
So,these shocks are correct on my Kinny?
Or should I put the black ones back on?
I'm digging the 5 spokes on your XXX!

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
I think the black ones are correct for the XX Kinwald.... certainly judging by the box picture - but you never know with Losi, later Kinwalds (as they were the last version of the XX) may have had the 'green/bronze' shocks?FasterLouder wrote:So,these shocks are correct on my Kinny?

P.S; I dig the 5 spoke Losi wheels too - I still run them on by XXXCR2 buggy

Re: XXT CR G+ Shuffle...
Yeah,I probably should put the black shocks back on her, lord knows I have enough of them.
And on a totally unrelated note,I managed to score one of Brian Kinwald's old XX4 bodies,a while ago!
It has a hole in it,but I'll patch it with a decal.
