Andy Warhol's Sand Scorcher
Here's a project I've been meaning to make for a long time. A Campbell's Soup Sand Scorcher. I took my Scorcher, the one I race at the VNats and gave it a new shelfer body to wear the rest of the year when it's not being raced. I had an Andy Warhol figure that looked to be about 1/10 scale as well, so I took his head off and mounted it to the Scorcher driver figure. I also added some new Blade 3 piece aluminum wheels in gold. I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out.
While I was at it, I upgraded the steering, it's not got a Super Champ servo saver and tie rods. Unfortunately the ball ends on the steering knuckles are 2.4mm and I can't seem to find any screws or ball ends that fit that size, so I had to use the stock ends there. Oh well, the rest is upgraded and the servo saver won't pop it's spring out like it was doing at last years race.

I kept telling him that he needs to wear his helmet, but he's too worried about it messing up his wig.

I had Dali in my car once. He wouldn't keep his head inside the window, looked like a black lab riding down the street, kept saying something about his mustache and butterflies-MelvinsArmy wrote:I kept telling him that he needs to wear his helmet, but he's too worried about it messing up his wig.

That's awesome! Is that body mount a stock piece or did you fabricate it yourself? What I mean is the part that you have screwed down between the shock towers with the body mount on it.
