Sorry I should've posted they were in stock when I found out, I ordered one last week they were in stock along with protechs throughout the week. People were still paying up to $30 for them on Ebay at the time, hah

Ebay is crazy like that. People were paying $25-30 for them 2 years ago when they were plentiful at tower too. I sold one then when I stupidly sold off my graphite team car and all my electric dirt oval and vintage rc10 stuff. I figured I was done with vintage RC and was only going to keep the current ones.
That graphite is about the only car I miss of the many I have bought and sold in the past 5-6 years. If only I had the space to have kept them all.

There were a set of new black battery trays that were at $14 on the bay last time I saw them. Tower price: 5.99. ?

I think there are a lot of people that don't use Tower (or Horizon) as a reference... If one of those two still have something that means my LHS can get it, as a bonus.

I [heart] my LHS.

Shows how much being stupid costs. Amazing how many people these days see ebay as the cheapest place to buy stuff on the internet without actually checking anywhere else, even when the seller has an online shop that doesn't have to pay ebay fees on every sale. ottovanio1 has been selling RC10 parts for ages so there must be plenty of buyers for them. Same as his 'vintage' Tamiya spares that are from the rereleases so available from your LHS.

i know what you mean, but if you want a single thing from tower it costs SO much to get it shipped, they always put the correct cost on the package which means i get shafted with customs charges. so sometimes it IS cheaper to pay MORE off ebay (if that makes sense) :?

Lucky in Australia we don't have to pay customs on anything under around $500. I just wait til I have a bunch of stuff that I need then order with one of those $25 off voucher things which covers the postage. Was better though when AE could keep bodies and various other bits in stock all the time so you could get everything you wanted at once. Haven't tried back ordering anything but they'll probably charge heaps on posting back ordered bits too.

My Viper showed up yesterday (from Tower), along with other pieces. Just waiting for a second package from them with my Protech and other parts, then I may be able to finish a car...

I've noticed they don't add the shipping costs to the total so if I keep the value of the items below about £35 $70 I don't get hit for customs and handling charges.

I will mention is again, I don't have a problem ordering things for anyone globally, so as long as you are an established member here, it doesn't get out of control, and you pay all my fees. The only thing I ask in return, is that someday, should it come up, you retrun the favor. I just did the same for Ed/Dr. Rob this past week. The wife puts $10.00 for the value and also checks the gift box.

Anyone need help? Just lemme know.

Jay

I generally check "other", with an approximate value of the shipping cost and list things like "used Mardave parts"

You chaps should also speak up if you're doing a deal with multiple sellers (here, mainly), and have everything shipped to whomever takes the burden on shipping out of the country.
