To Dye or Not To Dye

Post by qctires »

I just won a set of black Andys rear arms on ebay (have not received it yet) and I was asking myself if I should dye my RPM worlds arms. Any suggestions? I think it will look nice and leave the other AE parts stock. How about the blue parts (tubes, screws, shock caps)? Better in BLACK?

If it was my car, I'd say no to dye and loose the blue parts. Blue aluminum is new school to me.

That's possible...black tube or aluminun? The ESC will be a 410M1c NOVAK but the receiver will be that MICRO airtronics or an XXL Novak. I have no choice but to USE a 3PJS or my M8.
How about the Andys arms? They're black. I guess I'll just have to put it on the RC10 Graphite. I got this a few days ago. Not yet here thou.

my thought is since they have a little bit of use, dye them black. if they were pristine then I would leave them white.

How about the rears? My choices are...
1. Ansdys black rear arms
2. OEM dyed rear arms or leave it as is
3. If I use te Andys rear, what do I do with the Andys black fronts.
And I need an upper deck. I installed the GT tube holders but they are not year correct. No good.

you could get a pr. of rear rpm a-arms. that way you'd have rpm f & r.

best thing would be to pick up a rear rpm widearm kit to match the front.

...and I have a feeling you have one... 8)
Why is it called a WIDE ARM rear? Is the configuration different from the stock?

you notch out the where the a-arm mounts are, and move them in, closer to the trans. that way you'll still have the same track width with the longer a-arm.

yea, the arms mount closer together on the chassis so they are longer without increasing overall width. (you gotta narrow the rear of the chassis, and they have special a-arm mounts that hug the stealth)

rears pop up on ebay every so often.
