thoughts on 1/8th scale big bores on 2wd SC
So I was goofing around last week and ordered a set of Big Bore 4X SC shocks, thinking the standard 12 or 13 mm jobbers would show up...
Well...16mm later, I have a big Big Bore on the back of my SC truck. Are they too big, yep. I have some big ole spacers on there.
But to the real question, are there 16mm springs out there that would suit such a "light" vehicle? With the rear shocks adjusted all the way up and using the BB front springs, I sit a touch above level. Doesnt feel all that bad, honestly, maybe a touch on the stiff side. But no way these would work on the front end, it would be way too stiff.
I am going to scrounge at the LHS and look at Losi/AE/Kyosho/OFNA big bore springs and see who has the softest ones. Maybe I will get lucky

Holy cow that is a big ass shock on that truck. I wish i could help you out but I have no ideas on this one. Good luck with making them work.

Both AE and Losi have 16mm springs, I will hit the LHS and see what the softest ones are.

Losi 2.5 rate rear red springs, stock fronts with 1 coil cut, both front and rear. I need to pull the shocks apart and put limiters in there to reduce the droop, feels really good. Chassis is 1/8" from hitting the ground and full compression. I can live with that.
