Yeah, one of the hooked up cars was blue/white but I can't recall the number. 70 East, does that refer to State Road 70?
Worse case scenario you and I will have a whole lotta fun!

Rem, I appreciate your optimism but this guy was fast and flawless. When I get in his way he will be furious. I better get some "I was hammered" decals to pass out!

Re: rc10 bomber
I'm not sure what 70 East really is, but the majority of everyone there was having a good time, and there wasn't any conflicts with people on the racetrack at all. I think what put me off about those guys was that they show up with a 30 foot trailer full of crap and took up half the pit area with tents, while a lot of us were trying to string up power. I'm sure they're nice guys, once you get to know them, but they just gave me a bad vibe. So yes, I'd love to eventually put a beating on them with an antique. The speed is there, just gotta practice.knucklebuster wrote:Yeah, one of the hooked up cars was blue/white but I can't recall the number. 70 East, does that refer to State Road 70?

No, I'm keeping the wife happy and laying floors. But she's out of town the next four days on business.

Re: rc10 bomber
Russ, I buy the BIG bottles of aspirin.
Rem, don't get me wrong... My wife is a jewel. She tolerates my laziness because she can't find cheaper (free) laborers who are also perfectionists. We are also on the pay as you go plan. AAA credit and I refuse to pay finance charges.
We had visqueen on the ceiling in place of drywall for three months and plywood countertops for six months while I remodeled the kitchen. Not finish grade plywood, I'm talking board up your windows there's a storm coming plywood.
Prior to the plywood there was cardboard over wood slats for about a week. Clean up was easy... replace cardboard. I'm lucky, the wife is top notch.
I know, this is turning into a chit chat post. I hope to be running with lipos by the end of the week. Will update asap. $32 turnigy 5000mah 2S 40c lipo on the way. Seller noted the dimensions and it is 5mm longer than the Gens Ace. I hope the battery fits!
Also picked up a T3 roller for $28 shipped (I hope I didn't snipe you, but I love a good snipe). I wanted a truck to run as my original 10T is too nice. I will post pics of both asap.

Re: rc10 bomber
One thing I miss about the Navy: 800mg Motrin...the cure all.
Pay as you go is the ONLY way to do it in these times. Also, if you're doing a big home project, you might want to look into Lowes or HD when they do the one year "same as cash"...We've done that, paid it off, and cut up the credit card....can't beat it.
Looks like you got a good deal on those batteries. I got the Gens Ace Lipos, and they BARELY fit the chassis. I just measured, and I have about 2mm from the battery to the servo mount, but I'm using a Futaba S3003. You may want to go with something smaller.

Re: rc10 bomber
That's exactly how I paid for the counter tops and floors!
Sounds like the S132 servo is in order. I snap those up when I can... good little high speed servo. All of mine were made in Japan, obviously an older servo.

Re: rc10 bomber
That should do it. I ran one in my original car back in the 80's, but I haven't found one cheap enough for my tastes lately.

Re: rc10 bomber
The childhood 6 gear was/is set up with the Futaba 132 and the FP R2H micro receiver. both were much easier to find about 5+ years ago for reasonable money. The 148s are climbing now too.
