And there's always the "Chinese wrap" final coat option.

Thanks scr8p,

Nice repair job!

The chassis I have isn't bad but it has a mixture of some hard resin mixed with dirt around the front and rear transmission.

What do you use to shoot the clear? or is out of a can?
By the way, how much would you charge to repair a chassis?

Thanks again.

well, i work at a body shop, so everything i use requires a spray gun. but, i'm sure you could use a satin or semi-gloss clear from an aerosol can.

if you'd like me to take a look at the chassis you need fixed, send me a pm with some pics.

while i was fixing up my fusion speed tub, i took care of this chassis, too. i'm kinda bummed about the kick-up, though. there was a loose piece i wanted to glue down, but it broke the rest of the way off and i couldn't find it. so, i just sanded it back, and figured it is what it is. it might get the "worlds" treatment if it bugs me too much. that will all get cut off if i end up going that route. or, i'll keep it the standard width and just cut off the first 1/4" or so.

I'd have to say that's a pretty nice recovery, although I bet you could've done just as well with a Sharpie. Kidding, of course.

 Get some of that spongey shelf padding with the square holes to use as a stencil and shoot some gunmetal grey to match the weave maybe?

Oh, and "siebenelch" it! 8)

that's what this one is for, but with a narrow kick-up.

other than extra holes in this, this chassis is very nice. i couldn't bring myself to alter the worlds graphite chassis, so i did it to this one.

Of course you know my thoughts already, but AWESOME work! Considering where that worlds graphite came from and how badly the graphite on the kickup was separated.
