Here's my 2 cent$
I'd flip a coin between these two.
I can't help it, I like 'em both..
Someday, I'll finish the others..

The one I am working on NOW. Then on to the next project. Then it becomes my favorite. Find candidate, collect parts and "extras", build and paint. Or get lucky and have a pal send you one for a good price, already to go.

Re: *** what's your favorite rc car ***
well seeing a lot of others have posted their second favorite or the two that was tied as their favorite i figured i would go ahead and post my atomic carbon s2 up. ibuilt this one up with plans to race it but it was just too pretty. so i went ahead and added some bling and made it a shelf queen. one day i plan to send all the alloy bits off to be re-anodized. but other than that i am about finished with her.

Re: *** what's your favorite rc car ***
Here's mine...
The MB was my first "hobby-grade" car bitd so I have an immense soft spot for that tamiya car.
Here's my runner MB, Thorpe trans, modded steering, AE shocks, a few CRP parts here and there... At the time it was sporting an AE stocker, JR 8411 servo, and a traxxas XL10 ESC, now there aren't any electronics in. I've put about 15 coats of paint then lacker and wetsanded this body for hours to get a crazy wetlook finish (which doesn't really show in the pics), and my heart almost stopped the first time I rolled it it runs like crap but it looks uber-cool!
now with a few friends on a sunny day

Same for me, maybe I could pick my top 10 or top 20. But whatever I would choose a #1 has to be a Delta car.GJW wrote:no way i can pick just one
Re: *** what's your favorite rc car ***
I have to go with my original Tamiya Lunchbox. I ran the crap out of that thing. My next door neighbor as a kid had Kyosho Big Brute and we would bash them, go charge the batteries, bash them again and do it all over again, summer, fall, winter and spring. I broke darn near ever part on it and fixed it back up to beat it some more. Now it sits proudly on the shelf with mostly new parts and a very nice box art body.
I love all the cars I had BITD but nothing will ever replace the memories of my lunchbox and none of my other cars would take the abuse that that lunchbox took on a daily basis.

grasshopper/hornet are very special to me. when i get tired of rc or if it seems like a chore i break out my mongrel hopper and the smile comes right back and i remember why i do this.
but my favorite is a car i'll never run again, my pops (RIP) RC10 sprinter, i'm not sure if i'm going to restore it or not.

Sins I have my roots in rally-racing and still had my focus on racing when I got in to the RC-hobby. That’s my resend that I will cast my vote on the first mass produced electric competitive RC-car in my opinion!

Sweet! I'd suggest no restoration. You can never get original back. If it were my pops', on the shelf as is it would stay, just as it was the last day he drove it.kaiser wrote:

Heck, from the pic it looks like it doesn't need a thing anyway.
Re: *** what's your favorite rc car ***
thanks, it's a bit crusty. my dad sold it off years ago and i found it on rchr's top shelf and bought it back from john.
some of the bits on there (yellow spring spacers for one) were not on there when we sold it. but the good thing is the mip gearbox and wheels and tires are still there.
i'm just going to clean it up and shelf it, it's already on the "top" shelf.
