Re: Serpent Quattro
Rebuilt the diff. Great to get in and get more understanding. Easy to understand, seemed very modern.

Building along side the aluminum car is my runner using as many used parts as possible:

Here are the RPS graphite in fantastic condition. Not to be used on the runner

Taking this on in my spare time is incredibly different from my usual vintage projects. My rc10t is a car i run week in week out, never being without spares. The Serpent is fantastic! But I'm out of my "vintage" comforsrt zone and is demanding my patience and respect. It's going slow, but I'm happy to take this as a learning experience for both 1/8 onroad and vintage. Thanks for watching

Re: Serpent Quattro
Tommy was so kind to give me the opportunity to build my own RPS conversion, and permitted me to post the photos of the progress in his thread. So here goes!
Lower chassis plate is easy to replace, as is the radioplate. The rear stiffener however is a bit more work, because I had to replace the inner steel brakeliner with another one...the original one sticks out and is in the way of the brace. So i used 3 of the smaller identical brakeliners. Still need to replace the rear shocks.
The donor car was a new built Quattro 4wd that I've had for a few years. Never driven.
