It's a tight fit, but there's just enough room on the shaft to line up the pinion. I've never had an issue with them not fitting the motor plate, but maybe the opening is smaller on the newer ones. I can see how it could be a problem.

I used to use lipos with by brushed gear in Touring cars and never had a problem, as most brushed escs could do 7 or 8 cells packs, which is about 8.4 volts anyways
Getting back into rc for me feels like being put into a deep freeze for 25 years, then suddenly getting thawed and tossed onto the street and seeing flying cars and kids on hover boards.
As far as I knew, my Tekin 411 esc was so high tech and new,...
What is the cheapest option for a couple bashers, also needs to be Lipo compatible with the cutoff. The takeoffs of the new Losi RTR seem to go for about $45 on the bay but I also see some no name brands in the 20's. I have one of the Losi ones and...

Good idea, forgot about that option, I will use a couple old Novak T4's I have with alarm.
I've been looking for an old school Tekin 410K esc for a while now and finally found one. I just realized that all I have are lipo batteries. Is there anything I can buy, like something that would go between the esc and battery that would give me...

I run lipo's with all my old esc's. No problem! As long as you stop running as soon as you notice a voltage drop, you will be fine. I have never seen any of my packs under 6 volts. With lipo's 3 volts per cell is your lower voltage limit! 2 cell...
I want to use lip''s in my b4 that is currently running a team Orion motor and a traxxas xl5 esc. I am currently running the stock pinion and spur.not sure of the turns on the motor I got it brand new with a auction I won. I eventually want to go...

Just getting back into 1/10 scale offroad racing. I know I have a learning curve given it's been 26+ yrs. From searching and reading here and elsewhere I think I have learned that I'll be looking for a 2s lipo to run my brushed RC10 in Classic...

Hello all,
I have several brushed motor questions, so I'll just put them all in one thread.
First, I have an adjustable timing motor with the endbell removed and no markings. How do I reset it to 0 degrees timing? What will happen if I accidentially...

Hi 85Edinger,
I`ve seen that the one or other question is not answered from your first request. gomachv described exactly how to find 0° timing. I`ve included a pdf-sheet which I made myself with AutoCAD to set further timing. The red line in the...
