XXT CVD question

Post by Caine »

Hi guys

I'm near to finishing my G+ however when doing the CVDs and mounting them i noticed that they sit rather far out of the outdrives. Is this normal?

Make sure you use the correct A+B spacers inside the shocks to achieve the proper droop, it also depends what hole you have mounted the shock in the wishbone. You should be using middle hole on the wishbone, the position on the tower wont make a lot of difference.

The golden rule is that the pin must sit inside the outdrive at full droop, if not it may pop out.

If you use the kit settings it should be fine 8)

Do you have the correct CVD kit?

MIP made different kits for the XXT & the XXT CR or Graphite +

Hmmm, I am sure that the dog-bone length will be the same for all variants of the truck, I don't think the distance between the outdrives and the hub changed at all, not even for the CR hubs.

Thanks for the input guys, all sorted now :D

Just needed to shim on the back of the axle as thunderstrike said, a lot happier with where they are lying now. Just felt that when i put the power down i could of ended up with broken outdrives!

Should have it finished this weekend so will put some pictures up in my original post
