Kyosho Gallop Mk2 #2
My work bench has seen some action this weekend. I decided to pull the last of my two Gallop Mk2 buggies out for another look.
A while back I spent a good while searching and chasing down parts and cars to add a Gallop or two to my collection. Many new parts were sources along with full bearing kits plus stainless fasteners. I ended up with two really nice cars and moved all the rest of the surplus parts on.
Sadly I ended up selling the car I put the most effort in to as money was tight and bills needed to be paid. However I still kept this car and always had planned to run it.
I was still to paint up a repro bodyset and had some repro decals ready for the job so I got busy painting again. If painting the box art Optima didn't steal enough of my time away I spent the best part of a day masking, painting, masking and painting again. It was painstaking but I think the finished product turned out ok. I also painted the tyre lettering in and am yet to bolt up LeMans 480 GOLD. I have the standard mech speedy but also an old Hitec which kinda looks old enough to belong on this car.
I'll update with more pics soon.
Cheers-Jason

Re: Kyosho Gallop Mk2 #2
That came out pretty good Jason, looks very nice and clean. I've had no luck chasing down the parts I need for my MKII. After my most recent purchase it'll have to wait a while. I've been a bit slack posting pics of it up, I'll have to get around to it soon.

OK?!?!?
Are you crazy Jason!
More like awesome! The colour scheme looks suitably old skool. The detailing on the tyres is superb. You have clearly put in great effort!
Well done!

Fantastic job Jason - not an easy shell to mask, and with all the colours it gets complicated to say the least !
