Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/PICS
I have both the original B2 and B2 Sport Bodies. I personally like box art paint schemes, so I will likely go that route.
I am not here cause I am playing photographer and on my mountain bike.

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/FINAL PICS
Here we go. Finished it this weekend. Body is in storage (as 99% of my bodies are). Sorry for the crappy pics, I need more light.

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/ FINAL PICS
Good Job Jay, but I'm sorry, you have to work a little bit more on to have a Real B2
I have both B2 and B3 out of box, so I can check the difference beetween each car !
-In front you have a B3 shock tower and not a B2, the B2 fit only 2 shock position and 1 camber link !
Your car looks also fitting Graphite front arms and not plastic, like for your battery brace !
The B2 and B3 fit nylon nut to stop the shocks and not steel lock nut !
The servo horn looks in white plastic and not black, fit also another design !

-On rear like said Carloco8 the original B2 bottom plate looks straight and narrow to compare at the B3 !
On right the bottom of the B3 on left the B2 !

-The B2 rear arms fit only 2 shock position and not 3 !

-The B2 spur gear fit this design !

-My B2 fit ths World 95 Yokomo tires used by Matt Francis, and World Champion labelled

-But Jay, I'm able to help you to build a near 100% original B2, just PM me

Ah, but Kenooze you have the three hole rear arms 9255 in the bag which were an evolution for the B2 before the B3... so Jay's are technically correct.
And you forgot that Jay has a B3 front bulkhead (swaybar mounts).

Never set it was or I am perfect. I built with the parts I had and will continue to search for the correct parts. Cedric, I will send you a PM.

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/ FINAL PICS
Did they change to plastic shock caps sometime during the B2 & T2?
My B2 and T2 both have aluminium caps but both B2's here don't have em?

Good job templeofspeed !
ooppssss I have not looking the top plate !
About the rear arms I have the 2 different design but pictured the first comes in my hand
But did you note the missing steering link
Don't worry I have also the right top plate available and the steering link !
About the shock ends, for me the aluminium one's fit the Team Car and World Car, but B2 and B3 fit plastic !

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/ FINAL PICS
I'm really surprised, evry B2 I have ever seen fit plastic shock cap !
I race the B2 at the arrival on the market in 1995 or 1996, and this fit plastic !

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/ FINAL PICS
I just checked the part listing added to the manual, he said #6439 Shock Cap, aluminium (black anodized) !
My B2 comes from a factory sealled car kit
May be two different production ?

Wow, that is unprecedented! Associated changing parts without informing the consumer! Outrageous.kenooze wrote:I just checked the part listing added to the manual, he said #6439 Shock Cap, aluminium (black anodized) !

Associated has been known to supply either type depending on what they were out of stock on at the time...

Re: Resto Project B2 - UPDATED W/ FINAL PICS
-The B2 top plate looks to be fitting also the sway bar, like the 2 and 3 holes in the rear arms, so Jay looks also on the right way with this
I don't think this fit only the graphite version, but I have no plastic one to check !

-Jay to finish to help you, I have the following parts, gear dust cover, composite battery hold down short and standard, servo saver and steering tie rod, and rear suspension mount with 2° toe-in or 3° but with 3° antisquat ! The original fit 0° antisquat with 3° toe-in, but this one fit the correct screw size !
I'm steel waiting for your PM !

I did not realize there were so many detail oriented people here. Does anal-retentive have a hyphen?
