Separate kit was made for the rc10, not part of the 4-10 conversion but around the same time as the early cable and chain setups

thanks fella's, my dad bought the kit for the rc10 2wd set up. I wish he had the 4x4 setup lol. So on the hot trick chassy, should I cut it up to make parts for other stuff I have or should I trade/sell it? I would hate to cut it up if someone needs it. How about the shock towers, does anybody recognize them?

Once you get trading status let me know. I'd cut you a copy of that one but drilled properly for a rc10 (since the overall shape was the same) and make it usable for ya. I've been looking for a hot trick chassis for a template and that one looks new

Those MIP trailing arms were made specifically for the RC10. The shape of the trailing arm plate, the rear bearing carrier, the chassis mounting plate and a shock tower were all specific to the RC10.

IMO if you're going to run it, run it gently. The mounting pin from the arm to aluminum mount block were prone to breakage. Wasn't too big of a deal back then as you just buy another off the shelf for a couple of bucks but now they are unobtainium.

For general running and bashing I'd go back with the stock arms and mounts.

Link on this site to the instruction manual for this MIP kit. I was out of RC in early 85 so I missed this.

Great Info.
