Couldn't do that again if I tried...

Post by markbt73 »

I just pulled a couple of 1/16" roll pins out of a bag and dropped them on my work table. And here's how one of them landed:

Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket or something...

There was an old episode of The Twilight Zone in black and white where a guy pitches a bum a nickel and it lands in the box on it's edge. After that he could read people's minds, or something like that. But sometimes I remember things that never happened and forget things that did... :?

This made me think of stacking golf balls. Most I could ever get before Jenga was 9.

Would be a long video. lol. Need a very level, very stabile surface, and even with that, it's many tumbles of 4, 5, 6 high stacks before you get it just right. The dimples act as tiny sockets on the bottom, and create a little point at the top; the trick is getting them oriented perfectly (and having balls that give you a socket and a point exactly 180* from each other).
