RC10T WOIN Runner Build
Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
I decided to go the route of GreenHell with mounting the low profile servo. also rebuilt it with all black nylon after dyeing a few parts.

Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
I will be replacing the ball cups with some of the new black low friction one's as these white RPM's rub a little up front on while steering when the suspension is compressed, unless i can figure something else out.

Your build is exactly what I'm hoping to do as well. Nicely done.

Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
I'm just bought a roller and am going to build mine similar to yours and race it this winter. Can you share your shock spring, oil and piston setup?

Well I haven't run it just yet. I'm still waiting on my shorty lipos to come in and the body to arrive. But what I have started with is the T4.2 setup for big bores.
Front shocks - 1.6 pistons, 4 .030 limiters inside, 35wt oil, Gray 3.45lb springs with the threaded collar 8mm from the top, ride hight is arms level.
Rear shocks - 1.7 pistons, 2 .030 limiters inside, 35wt oil, Green 2.00lb springs with the threaded collar 8.5mm from the top, ride height is CVD's level.
Depending on how it drives I may switch out the shocks to my spare big bores. Those are setup a little different with the - Front shocks 30wt oil, white 3.30lb springs and 3 .030 limiters inside being the difference. The rear shocks have 1.6 pistons and 27.5wt oil with as the difference.

Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
What gearing are you going to run with that 17.5?

Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
As of right now I'm looking at the final drive ratio of the T4.2 on a 17.5 which is
7.50 - 75t spur and 28t pinion
The closest I could get to that with what I have is a
7.53 with a 87t spur and 26t pinion
Once I run it on the track I will adjust depending on the motor temps.

Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
Sweet build. It looks very nice.
Quick question, what lengths were you able to go with for the Associated titanium turnbuckles? I want to replace my stock ones, but want to make sure of the appropriate lengths as I too want to use RPM ball cups through out, where I can.
Thanks!

Re: First timer RC10T Runner Build
They are a set of Factory Team turnbuckles I found for the GT/T2 and T3 part #1280. The 10T stock size are 2.62" and the ones in the set are 2.65" long. Because of that I did have to grind down 1 pair for the rear just slightly on each side to get the right camber.mdutcher wrote:Sweet build. It looks very nice.
