Wow, at $332.00USD for the re-re modelsports definitely marked it up but they seem to be one of the last standing in terms of stock so I guess they can do it.
£209 ($332) is the lowest prize I've seen it in the UK
That's the prize they've sold it at all along
You forget that we Europeans have to pay import tax of everything from non EU countries like China and USA
I paid $250 + shipping + $100 US Dollars in import tax for my RC10 Classic from a non EU country
Oh wow, didn't realize the extent of the import taxes you guys have to pay. That sucks! I paid $225 plus $10 s/h (from Tower with discount code) and, judging from these skyrocketing prices, it's looking like my impulse pre-order (which I never do) back in early June is paying off.
Just got one from AMain at $249. I got the same message (as below) and after patiently waiting (and even asking them via email a couple weeks ago). I was punched in the gut for being loyal (I can't do Tower for some reason). I felt like the kid standing up after musical chairs. It sucked.
But I did learn after a few emails that they had a small handfull (9 I think) sitting in guys carts not yet payed for. Those are getting released and put back up for sale, first come first served if the original order gets droppped. I got one this am!

Dear Valued Customer,
We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, AMainHobbies.com cannot complete your pre-order of the Team Associated RC10 Classic Kit - ASC6001. Due to limited nature of this release, A Main Hobbies went deep and in June, committed to enough kits to fill pre-order demand with a few more to spare. Unfortunately, worldwide demand far exceeded the production order and A Main Hobbies was notified this afternoon that we will not be receiving any additional shipments. At 4:00 p.m. PST today, we will make 100% of what we received available to our customer base.
As enthusiasts and racers ourselves, we are sincerely disappointed with this outcome and look forward to exceeding your expectations in the future.
Best Regards,
Leif Ostberg, V.P. of Customer Service
got the same reply from Amain. good thing our LHS still has 3 available.
Still available and at the right price. Just came across this eBay listing and it's price is not jacked up. Shows many available so anyone still looking for one should jump on it now.
It looks like Amain are negotiating another run to fulfill the orders that people made. Apparently they only received enough RC 10's to fill 6% of their orders.
I ordered through amain and missed out but was lucky to get the last one from my local hobby shop, although it was much more expensive.
same to what happen on my last order with Tower. it was discontinued. then all of a sudden available, I pulled the trigger then I got one. it was a different story for amain, pre-ordered, then was cancelled and got a 20$ store credit. I believe tower will still release another run, the question is , how fast can you pull the trigger...

Yeah I went back and forth with amain customer service via phone and email on d-day, the day they found out they got essentially screwed. I chose not to re-post any of the commentary out of respect, but I do have an email that refers to a company called "Team Accosted". There may be something in the relationship that's not so hot, or the orders just got filled backwards, sent out to Zebra's Hobby depot first...followed by Tower...and A-Main was just last on the list. .

I have been looking around for a Protech body, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Have they been discontinued by AE? These cars are getting harder to rebuild and race now that the parts supply is drying up. Anyway, has anyone heard if...

An alternative is Penguin body shells in the United Kingdom. Their reproduction bodies are really good and in some cases better quality than originals. Schumacher ;P
The person to contact is Steve Haskins either on Facebook or ebay user haskins2004.
I have to confess to not paying a whole lot of attention to Tamiya or Kyosho in the past year, but is it me or have Tamiya prices gone through the roof? I pulled out an M-05 Mine Cooper kit that I have been meaning to build for a while and thought...

Cut down in its prime  the blitz ese pro is the coolest looking truck on the market. It can bash with the best of them and consistently give the sc10 a beat down on the track. Now I am hoarding parts so i can still run it, who else feels this...

I agree the Pro was a great truck. I raced a Blitz rtr with a few upgrades very well for a few years.
Hpi has been sold a few times in the past 5 years. I think they are owned by great planes at the moment and are in talks with HRP? I think that...
No problem 8)
I was experimenting with 3d printed stainless steel outdrives:
I could make them a couple mm's longer than the stock ones to make up for the short CVA bones.
I'll design up and have printed some longer ones soon. The original pair I...
