Decent slop free servo saver?

Post by kink »

My current servo saver is a sloppy mess. I need something nice and accurate which is Futaba compatible. Any suggestions? Black would be a bonus...

My new Kimbrogh I just bought is tight as a drum. It's black and comes with adapter for all servos

I chose a similar setup for my Optima Mid car, Tamiya #51000 high-torque servo saver along with an aluminum servo horn. You can usually find these for quite a bit cheaper than Tamiya's listed prices on eBay.

x2 on the Kimbrough 124,

I've also seen the Tamiya work fine, and the other one that is essentially the same (stiff - intended for gas trucks/metal geared servos) is the AE Monster GT one, ASC 25162/67 etc.

Kimbrough all the way.

tamiya's servo savers are world-reknown for being slop-prone rather than slop-free ;)

Thanks guys!

Just double checking before I order one. This is for an old school futaba servo. Will this 114 model fit ok?...

The high-torque Tamiya unit I installed in the OptiMutt car along with the Tamiya ballraced bellcrank has zero slop. This one has 3 metal rings, not the weak spring I've seen in their kit-included savers. It's actually a bit of a pain to force that third ring in, that's how firm it is. Or, maybe I just got lucky. :)
