Snowbird RC10T :-)

Post by teman »

Here's my winter snow truck for this year adapting bits from last years "Snowbird RC10T3" and applying them to this one. if you're wondering (or don't recall) about the name, it's a spin-off from the product name of the Dubro landing gear skis for airplanes that I'm using on this :o It needs just a little more work on the ski mounts, but I should have that sorted this week. Besides the platform change, I utilized my custom undertrays in an under and over set-up to keep the snow out. This should be fun to mess around with over the winter months 8)

The under tray setup looks good. Any waterproofing on the electronics?

I had a pair of skis cut from some thick stock delrin, way to heavy. What are those made of?

Looks like it will be a blast! Possible video of it running?

You need crusty snow or it won't work  This won't work in powder or wet snow

The SC-700 is waterproof, if the receiver dies no biggie. The Motor should be OK, need to heatshrink the leads and area

I have seen that video somewhere... ABS makes much more sense. The skis I had were so thick and blocky, no performance at all. (Blocky is a word right? hehe)

I might have to grab a set of those. The drive system seems to hook up right away.
