Good old times....my first RC car, Dynamic Suspension
Good old times....my first RC car, Dynamic Suspension
Hello and good afternoon,
This is my first pic in this forum.
Unfortunately, my English is not good.
So I let my PC translation programme work for you.
I hope it is so good, that you can understand
my little story.
It is a quite mad history about my
first RC Car.
In 1973 I was an Hobby RC Flyer. However, I already had
read in magazines about the American RC Car scene,
but still nothing of it seen.
In 1974 I visited an "Public Day" on the US Air-Force Base Bitburg
in West-Germany, about 80 km from here.
There I saw by a presentation for the first time this
wild RC Bees in action and I was inspired.
I have spoken with some of the boys and was able
after some talks one of it persuade to me one
to sell one of his Cars.
It looked quite used and I have 100 DM for it paid-up
at that time, these were about 50 dollars,
but without RC Equippment.
I have built in at home my Graupner Varioprop Remote control
and driven some years, until my car had a serious defect.
Spare parts were not to be bought in Germany,
so that I has buried the Car in my Hobby-Room, as well as it was.
Then I have bought a new Car, a Graupner
"Datsun fairlady" witch I driven then for two or three years.
Then I am changed again to the RC Flyers
and had completely forgotten my coaches.
In the eighties my RC Hobby found finish, because my job and family
needed all my time.
In 2013 I went to pension and had to search for myself a hobby.
So I have crept in my old Hobby space and have look for new challenges.
Besides, my both old RC cars also fell to me in the hands.
I had the idea these both old vehicles present in my house,
nicely restores in a glass cabinet.
Because I had no technical details and no information about my first Car
I have first searched in Google and have been astonished very much,
what a treasureI I actually had hidden nearly 40 years in my Hobbyroom.
However, see yourself.
Thus the thing looks momentary....
everything there, but a lot of work......
its a Dynamic Models Car, Dynamic Suspension, 1969 ?
with the original Enya 19 Nitro.
all original Parts exists.
prepared for the first Cleaning
the original body
my former RC
and the former linear servos
i hope, you like it

Very cool and welcome to the board. I look forward to seeing this transpire. Romulus22 on this forum restored a Dynamic Suspension Car.
I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !
Re: Good old times....my first RC car, Dynamic Suspension
That's a cool car. That suspension has such an industrial look. I love it.
Always looking for memories
