Lethal Weapon Pinion/Spur combos

Post by TRX-1-3 »

So I was wondering if any of y'all got the same issue(s)? Have an 87T spur and a 20T pinion on a Lethal Weapon trans/Power Clutch. The motor bottoms out against the tranny case and the gears barely mesh. So, duh, larger spur or pinion, right? Well I was wondering if anyone could recommend a larger compatible spur gear. So I guess that is my question:

Which manufacturer(s) make (made) Lethal Weapon /PowerClutch compatible spurs larger than 87T?

Thanks,

Mark
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Hi Mark,

Wouldn't the old style Kimbrough spur work?

Like this one -

Looking at the kit in Hobby shop, hop up hints magazine, the kit doesn't come with a spur, so I think

the old style Kimbrough should work.

Compare your old one to the pic.

Cheers, Dave.

Hi Mark
We always ran 48 pitch 90 to 96 tooth spurs stock and mod with 26 to 40 tooth pinions. I liked the tooth angles better on the larger gears. I mostly ran Kimbrough spurs and Robinson racing spurs.
Old is more FUN
