Ben,

Yes, I think it would......<DAMN!>.....something else I've got to buy!

Either way, mighty fine build my friend :-)
Ben,

Thank you indeed for the compliment! :D If it wasn't for your build, this one probably wouldn't have happened....

That's what its all about, creating something cool and inspiring others along the way :D

I also think the silver springs are a nice touch too, keeps it all colour coded which is always the key to a nice build. Maybe I might revisit my build and strip the springs of the blue/pink....hmmm 8)

All this Kinwald rebuilding/talking has got me itching to build mine up!

Go on......just think of the satisfaction it'll bring you! And us...!

Paint the body first though!

While I think about it, maybe we should start a dedicated XX gallery thread so that all the XX's (trucks and buggy's) can be found in one place......? It really bugs me when I have to trawl through pages and pages of old threads to find related builds etc. :x

Ha, I don't think I'll do the body though, for 2 reasons:

1. The stickers that it comes with are more a neon green than yellow, and so I'll have to try and match that, otherwise it'll look odd, but by doing so it wont then go with the yellow wheels.

2. I'd like to have just the rolling chassis in my Oakley display cabinet. All my other builds have the shells on so it would be nice to show off the graphite/titanium/blue parts etc. The only problem here is that my display cabinet is full

I'll be sure to do a proper step by step, bag by bag build, don't worry :D

Or a Losi *Build of the Month* contest, like those folks over in the AE section of the forum :D

Decided to change the look of my XX Graphite with some new wheels 'n tyres...

I used original XX wheels dyed black with the wheel disks sprayed pearl white to match the white on the body. The front tyres are Losi's full radius rib with Losi Step-pin's on the rear, both in the 'Silver' compound.

I like the idea, but if I am honest I think I prefer the solid black wheels better. The black outer edges makes the tyres look really high profile and so the wheels really small. Kudos for trying it though, its different for sure. Just my 2p, FWIW.

Maybe I should go with the natural (white) XX wheels instead? But you know....when you get to look at something on a regular basis boredom often sets in and then you want to start changing things around!
