Dave's Championship Edition
Hi Guys,
I thought I had better get my act together and take some pics of my RC10 runner.
I put this together from parts I had lying around, I didn't realize until building it how much stuff I
had acquired.
The only parts I had to buy were re-re front a-arm mounts, worlds steering and gearbox dust cover.

Re: Dave's Championship Edition Runner
I had a RPM 2.65 trans already and a RPM bulkhead, which I didn't like because the previous owner had cut out the battery box part badly but o.k for a runner.

Re: Dave's Championship Edition Runner
Hi Guys,
For some crazy reason I decided to rebuild this buggy.
This time it will be sporting the original chassis powder coated and I will be using
more of the original parts as well.
Here's some pics to get started, stay tuned.
First pic is my sand blasting outfit, I am using play-pit sand, dried and sieved.
Need to wear a mask though.
Second pic is after I blasted it.
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guys,
I will post some pics when I get it back from the powder coaters.
Wait till you see the color.
Should be great.
Also checked out fluorescent red to do my truck chassis like Slotcarrods RC10ST build.
$40 to powder coat the chassis!
Cheers, Dave.

Hi Marlon,
I had another look and it does look like snow.
I have never seen snow in all my life.
That's what you get for living in the driest state in the driest continent in the world.
Cheers, Dave.

Re: Dave's Championship Edition Runner
Hi Guys,
I picked up my powder coated chassis today, it turned out better than I expected.
When I saw it for the first time I said f**k that's orange
R.J/RC10th came to visit me for the first time today to swap some parts, to buy some parts off
each other, and he showed me his 7001 RC10T new in box, WooHoo it was really good to see one
new in a box.
In fact it is the first N.I.B Team Associated I have ever seen it was beautiful.
To be able to hold the large bag of N.I.P parts in my hand was a great experience.
Thank you R.J.
I had the chassis in a bag I said to him to get it out for a look.
His response was f**k that's orange.
Well here's are pic,
Cheers, Dave.

Re: Dave's Championship Edition Runner
No problem Dave, it was a pleasure
Your chassis has a bit more red in it then the pictures show but when I opened the bag nearly needed sunglasses. The poweder coaters did a fantastic job.
I can't wait to see this build progress.

Hi Guys,
I have made a start on my CE re-build.
I forgot say this is the original chassis, previously I was using another stealth chassis.
O.K here's some pics,
Dave.

Re: Dave's Championship Edition Runner
Hi Guys,
I have decided to follow my own advice,
Use the bloody manual
It does not look good when I put the first 3 screws in the chassis then had to take 2 out because
they were the wrong length.
I put 2, 1/2 gold screws in for the steering ( Worlds style ) but needed 2, 7/8 gold screws for the
original steering.
I also did the cable tie mod on the L/H servo saver.

Re: Dave's Championship Edition Runner
Hi Guys,
Still moving forward with my rebuild,
I have found the 6 hole front tower and will use that instead, the original 4 hole had been modified
and did not look good at all.
Here's some pics, still with a early 2 hole front tower.
