Dogbone length problem...

Hi everyone,

I have a XX-CR. Just got new XX rear arms (losa2130) and they're longer than the CR arms. Now the stock xx-cr dogbones are too short...

since new dogbones/axles wouldn't hurt, which one do I buy?

Why would you want to run xx arms on an xx cr? You want part losa2031 or losa9802 (graphite). I believe that the geometry of the XXCR is different than the xx so you cannot interchange parts between the trans and the hubs.

I'm still searching for a suitable dog bone replacement for the DS dogbone 8867

Looking at shapeways someone made a 8867 dogbone

the specs are
1.84 x 0.39 x 0.24 inches
(46.736 mm) x (10mm)x(6.3mm)

Since that is end to end it seems like there...

Pin diameter is also important because between brands there is a difference, I've measured some that had a pin a smidge too large to fit into the associated slots.

Yeah.

Tamiya ball and pin size is slightly too large for AE cars.

The rc10 dogbone ASC8867 can be replaced by HPI part #86002 - DRIVE SHAFT 6x42mm (DOGBONE x2/SPRINT)

The dog bone ball at 6mm and pins fit Associated outdrives.

I don't have an original part to know if this is a 100% replacement....

Hello,

My name is Clay, and I am trying to fix up my RC10. One of the dogbones is bent, so I ordered this from Tower to replace it,

SO, I got it in the mail today, it is the correct part number, 6370, but it also says Dogbone b2/b3 underneath and...

If money isn't tight I would order a Mip CVD kit from Tower. No more lost dogbones.

Money Is no Object! At least until my wife finds out.

So, it sounds like I ordered the right thing, just an odd problem. I will send it back and try again.

I found a length on the internet at 31mm. Not sure if that is accurate or not. It was on Asia-t's website for aftermarket dog bones.
