RC10 worlds and wing mount

Post by twisted »

Im thinking of doing up a rc10 worlds car for this winter. i want to go with the jconcepts body but i dont like the stock wing mount. i remember the wings always falling off. i know some are mounting b5 wing mounts to a new tower but i also dont want to cut the back of the jconcepts body.

any tips?

Dont need ot cut the whole back off. i think JK racing cut just enough of a hole around where the mounts are. just enough to poke out and secure the wing.

I ran b5m mounts for a while too. I dont think i have a picture, but basically you just need a couple slots in the body for the wing mounts to protrude through.

No, all the RC10s are 'standard' CE (Championship Edition)/Worlds width. In the last picture, the black car isnt an RC10, so ignore it :)

i think i know what the black car is. when we had rcsoup up and running a buddy did a build of that car. atomiks answer to a racer. its not that bad of a car.

Yep, V2MR, truly liked that car overall. But, as with any other 'off brand' parts support killed it for me. And being a vintage nut anyways, I am used to poor to non-existent parts support :)

Mmmmm, I like this idea. Might have to do that on the next body. When I take mine to the track, and the wing falls off, the younger marshalls don't know how to put the old wing back on. I have the wire bent a bit to keep it on more solidly now though.
