This A&L body sure looks "different". I have very mixed emotions about the part around the rear shock tower, but it sure looks singular!

Paint job is spot on :)

That´s a very nice body - well executed.

Must admit that I´m not a big fan of the original TRX-1 body.
Thank you. I'm still undecided about the original style. After all these years.

Thanks. The moulding around the shock tower is designed to deflect mud and dirt away from the shocks. Thanks for the colors input also!
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Hey-Ohhhhh,

Had an idea. Was thinking about it and after much thought, thought why not? Even bounced it of a guy and decided to give it a try. Gonna butcher the center out of a TRX-10 Bullet front bulkhead and harvest the outer portions because I'm pretty sure it will work for some white shelfer arm/tower mounts for this rig.

Then it's just the bumper.........

Looking nice!!! I'll purchase a couple of those bodies too for my project, and I additionally have a complete TRX-1 only thing i waiting for chassis.

Here is what I did this weekend. Started with a TRX-10 bulkhead from Crunchy550. Then I noticed someone was posting pieces from a lot that I saw for sale on the auction site(s) and I idiotically purchased a NIP motor plate. But as I have said before, vintage R/C mania knows no bounds.

The white fronts are one of the harder finds it seems. They are missing the molded "L" and "R" but they are dimensionally identicle to the "real" 2731's though. Not for a true pureist but fine for a shelfer that will never leave my posession.

Thanks guys

I just unpacked a trx-10 bulkhead this weekend and it has that same black spot. Must have been a problem with the flow in the mould. some air getting trapped or something like that.

TRX-1 "Shelfer": FINISHED

Post by TRX-1-3 »

I think I am finally satisfied with the condition to which I have gotten this thing. Got the electronics dialed in. I was going for a clean layout. I soldered the motor plug off the esc at a reverse angle for wire control purposes. The esc platform is a hacked up original TRX-T Eagle rear shock tower. Here are some pics:

Thanks to a member here, on this totally awesome site, I have acquired a pair of NIP/NOS 1931 white front suspension arms. As you may know, these are a final hurdle in completing my TRX-1 resto as I raced it BITD. All new parts save for some white shock bits. F-ing stoked and they are at the PO but not pickable uppable due to the weekend. Drat!!

Pics when parts here.
